BalkanBet is a Serbian bookmaker and online casino run by BALKAN BET D.O.O. BEOGRAD, which appears on the Serbian regulator’s list of online operators with the domain balkanbet.rs. Its own site cites approval no. 424-01-00219/2022-02 of 5 September 2022 from the Uprava za igre na sreću. The licence covers Serbia only: we found the brand on no list in Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro or the Federation of BiH. Payouts go to a shop or your own bank account.

A note on the name: “balkan betting” is one of the most searched gambling phrases in Serbia, and Google treats it as this brand. Balkan Gambling is an independent guide with no link to the bookmaker. We have no commercial relationship with it, so this page carries no links to its site, no sign-up buttons and no bonus figures. Every fact was checked on 15 October 2026 against the regulator’s list or the operator’s own published rules. For the wider market, see our overview of licensed betting sites in the Balkans.

Who runs Balkan Bet and where it is licensed

The online rules name the company in full as Društvo za trgovinu i usluge BALKAN BET d.o.o. Beograd, Novi Beograd, registration number 17230506. Its About page says the business was founded in 1998, took its name from the first shop in the Hotel Balkan, and launched online betting, slots and virtual games in 2016 on a platform built with the software firm NSoft. The regulator’s May 2026 guidance on illegal operators applies to the whole Serbian market and is worth reading before you choose any site.

Where the brand is not licensed

Licences in the region stop at the border. Croatia licenses 12 online operators and this brand is not one of them; Croatian law fines taking part in foreign games with stakes paid in Croatia at EUR 1,320 to 6,630 on paper. The Federation of BiH list of 30 September 2026 names other companies, and its law prohibits playing at operators without Federation approval when stakes are paid from the Federation. Slovenia allows online gambling only through its concession holders, and North Macedonia is moving internet games to a state-owned company. For Bosnian players, our Bosnia and Herzegovina guide lists the operators licensed there.

Serbia’s own law cuts the other way too: Article 10 prohibits taking part from Serbia in games run abroad, and the regulator’s guidance of 18 May 2026 calls foreign sites particularly risky. A licensed Serbian operator is the only route that keeps you inside the self-exclusion and complaints system. Our Serbia guide covers the rules in full.

Balkan Bet app for Android and iPhone

The app is the most searched add-on to the brand name in Serbia. The operator’s app page links to two official listings:

  • Android: a Google Play listing, so no manual installation file is needed.
  • iPhone: an App Store listing in the Serbian store. On 15 October 2026 it showed version 2.2.26, released that day, requiring iOS 15.0 or later. The seller named on the listing is BEO IMPERA d.o.o., not the licensed company, so do not be surprised by the different name; what matters is that the link comes from the operator’s own page.

The app page adds a practical tip: if you cannot find the app on iOS, change your App Store region to Serbia. That also tells you the app is meant for Serbian accounts. Install from the store links only and ignore APK files offered on forums or in messages, because modified copies are a common way to steal logins. The live betting section and the odds list (“kvote”) are both in the app and on the mobile site.

Registration and verification in general terms

The online rules of 29 May 2026 describe the process. To open an account you give your first and last name, a username, address, mobile number, town, personal number (JMBG), email and a password, and you confirm that you have read the rules. Then:

  1. Email check: a verification email with an activation link confirms your address.
  2. ID check: you supply a valid identity document, an ID card or passport, and the operator checks your date of birth to confirm that you are at least 18.
  3. Self-exclusion check: before opening the account the operator checks electronically, through the regulator’s system, whether you are on the register of self-excluded players. If you are, registration is refused until the exclusion ends.

The rules are strict about the order: no account, no deposit, no payout and no play for anyone who has not completed verification. They also allow the operator to suspend an account and all payments if your personal data turn out to be wrong. Keep your details identical to your ID, including diacritics, and update them through the app if they change.

Payment methods and payout rules

All amounts are in Serbian dinars. The payments page shows these deposit routes: payment card, IPS instant payment, A voucher, Vcash voucher, transfer from a current account and cash in any of its shops. The card terms name Visa, Mastercard and Maestro, processed by Payten d.o.o. Beograd, so card details never reach the operator.

Rule What the online rules say
Minimum card deposit 500 dinars
Minimum cash deposit at a cashier 200 dinars
Payout options Cash at a shop cashier, or transfer to your own current account
Cash payout time Within two working days of the request
Bank transfer time Depends on the banks involved; the operator states no fixed time
ID for cash payouts Required; above EUR 2,000 (in dinars at the NBS rate) the shop keeps a copy
Withdrawable funds Only winnings; the operator can ask that deposits are first used for bets in a proportion it sets

Three details save trouble. The current account must be in your own name: transfers from or to someone else’s account are prohibited, and the operator can ask for proof that the account is yours. Enter the account number in your profile before you request a transfer, and check it twice, because the rules put the risk of a wrong number on the player. A third person can collect a cash payout only with a notarised authorisation. Winnings from licensed betting and online casino are not taxed in Serbia under Article 83 of the Personal Income Tax Law. Our payment methods guide explains IPS and vouchers in more detail.

Casino, slots and crash games on the same account

The same account covers more than sports betting. The site menu lists live betting, virtual games, slot games (Slot igre), a live casino (Kazino uživo), the crash games Crash Cash and Aviator, the number game Lucky Six and esports betting. Online casino in Serbia is licensed through the same approval as betting, so the self-exclusion and limit rules below apply to the casino too.

Crash games run in rounds of a few seconds and are easy to repeat without noticing the total spent. Our Aviator explainer sets out how the multiplier works and why the house edge stays in every round.

Responsible gambling: limits and self-exclusion

The rules give two separate tools, and both are worth knowing before you deposit.

Self-limits (Article 18)

Through a request in the app you can set personal limits on play or on the amount you deposit, for a period you choose of up to 30 days. When the period ends the limit lapses unless you set it again. You can ask to cancel a limit with a separate request.

Self-exclusion (Article 19)

You can exclude yourself through your account, on the website, or by a written request at a shop. The minimum is 24 hours; a permanent exclusion cannot be withdrawn before 12 months have passed. Access to the account is blocked as soon as the request arrives. The operator then sends your details to the Uprava za igre na sreću, which passes the exclusion to every licensed online operator where you hold an account. The responsible-gaming page puts it plainly: self-exclusion at one bookmaker means exclusion at all of them in Serbia. That page also carries a self-test of 15 questions and links to the regulator’s checklist for spotting illegal operators.

Help in Serbia: Specijalna bolnica za bolesti zavisnosti (Drajzerova), Belgrade, +381 11 3671 429 or +381 11 2662 727. The operator also publishes a guide written for it by an addiction psychologist under the title “Kad si ti dobro”. See our responsible gambling page for every country.

Login help and phishing clones

The official address is balkanbet.rs. Type it yourself or use a bookmark, and treat any “login” link in an ad, a social media post or a direct message as suspect until you have checked the domain letter by letter.

  • Forgotten password: use the forgotten-password option on the official site; the rules say the operator sends a link for a new password to your registered email.
  • Login works, payouts don’t: usually an unfinished ID check or a bank account that is not in your name.
  • Locked out after a request to stop: a self-exclusion blocks access immediately and cannot be lifted early.
  • Warning signs of a clone: a domain with extra words or another ending, a page that asks for card details before login, or someone on chat asking for your password or a code. Genuine support uses only the channels listed on balkanbet.rs.

Remember the rule from the terms: correct username and password count as you, and the operator will not reverse transactions made with them. Keep the password to yourself and change it if you ever typed it into a page you did not reach yourself.

Balkan Bet compared with other licensed Serbian bookmakers

All four companies below hold Serbian online approvals. The table sticks to facts from the regulator’s register and the App Store on 15 October 2026; odds and offers change too often to compare fairly on a static page. Our guides to Mozzart and Meridianbet go into each brand.

Brand Company on the Serbian register Registration no. Domain on the register iOS app seller
Balkan Bet BALKAN BET D.O.O. BEOGRAD 17230506 www.balkanbet.rs BEO IMPERA d.o.o.
Mozzart MOZZART D.O.O. BEOGRAD 20655364 www.mozzartbet.com MOZZART DOO BEOGRAD (PALILULA)
Meridianbet MERIDIAN TECH D.O.O. BEOGRAD 08724636 www.meridianbet.rs Meridian Gaming Ltd.
Soccerbet PHUKET D.O.O. BEOGRAD 20747633 soccerbet.rs PHUKET d.o.o.

Unlike Mozzart, MaxBet and Meridianbet, which run separately licensed sites in Bosnia or Montenegro, BalkanBet showed a licence only in Serbia. For a Serbian player the practical differences are the shop network for cash payouts, the app and the deposit minimums; self-exclusion works the same way at all four.

How we checked this page

On 15 October 2026 we read the Serbian regulator’s register of online operators, the Croatian Tax Administration’s list of 12 online licensees and the Federation of BiH operators list of 30 September 2026. On the operator’s own site we read the About page with its approval number, the online rules adopted on 29 May 2026 (registration, verification, payouts, Articles 18 and 19 on limits and self-exclusion), the card payment terms, the responsible-gaming page and the app page, fetched through a local connection. App versions and seller names come from the App Store. Written by Stefan Nikolić, fact-checked by Maja Horvat; our rating method explains how we compare operators. Frequently asked questions about Balkan Bet

Is Balkan Bet licensed?

Yes, in Serbia. BALKAN BET D.O.O. BEOGRAD (registration number 17230506) is on the Uprava za igre na sreću register of online operators with www.balkanbet.rs, read on 15 October 2026. The operator’s own site cites approval no. 424-01-00219/2022-02, issued on 5 September 2022. We found no licence for the brand in Croatia, Slovenia, the Federation of BiH or Montenegro.

Is Balkan Gambling the same as Balkan Bet?

No. Balkan Gambling is an independent guide to licensed gambling in the region and has no connection with the bookmaker. Many people search for “balkan betting” when they mean this bookmaker, which is why this page exists. We cannot open accounts, reset passwords or pay out tickets; for that, contact the operator through its official site.

How do I withdraw money from BalkanBet?

From your account you can ask for a cash payout at one of its shops, which the rules say is made within two working days of the request, or a transfer to a current account in your own name. Enter the account number in your profile first. Bring an ID document to the shop; above EUR 2,000 the shop keeps a copy of it.

What is the minimum deposit at BalkanBet?

The online rules of 29 May 2026 set a minimum of 500 dinars for a card deposit and 200 dinars for a cash deposit at a shop cashier. Cards accepted are Visa, Mastercard and Maestro, charged in dinars. The site also offers IPS instant payment, A voucher and Vcash vouchers and bank transfer.

How does self-exclusion work at BalkanBet?

Under Article 19 of its rules you can exclude yourself through your account, on the website or in writing at a shop, for at least 24 hours or permanently. A permanent exclusion cannot be withdrawn for 12 months. The operator sends your details to the Uprava za igre na sreću, which passes the exclusion to every licensed online operator where you hold an account.

Why can’t I find the BalkanBet app on my iPhone?

The operator says the iOS app is in the Serbian App Store, and tells users who cannot find it to change their App Store region to Serbia. The listing it links to shows the seller as BEO IMPERA d.o.o. (version 2.2.26 on 15 October 2026). Install it only through the link on the official site.

18+ only (21+ in Albania). Gambling can be addictive; stake only what you can afford to lose.
