About this site
Privacy Policy
Balkan Gambling privacy policy: cookieless Umami analytics, no advertising trackers, server logs kept up to 90 days, and your rights under the GDPR.
This privacy policy explains what personal data balkangambling.com collects, why, and what rights you have. The short answer: very little. We measure visits with Umami, a cookieless analytics tool, we run no advertising or cross-site tracking scripts, and we never ask for your name, ID or payment details. The controller of your data is the operator of this website, reachable at [email protected]. Last updated 15 October 2026.
The law that applies
We handle personal data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). It applies directly to readers in Croatia and Slovenia, which are EU members. Readers in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania also have rights under their own national data protection laws, and we give every reader the same rights described below.
What we collect and why
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR art. 6(1)) | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Server logs: IP address, browser, page requested, time | Running and securing the site, stopping abuse | (f) legitimate interests | Up to 90 days |
| Analytics: page viewed, referrer, browser, operating system, device type, country | Learning which pages help readers | (f) legitimate interests | Aggregated statistics |
| Emails you send us | Answering you and correcting pages | (f) legitimate interests | As long as the matter needs, normally up to 12 months |
We do not sell personal data, build advertising profiles or share data with advertisers.
Analytics without cookies
We use Umami to count visits. Umami’s documentation states that its tracking code uses no cookies, collects no personally identifiable information and does not track visitors across websites. We load it from our own domain. The statistics show us, for example, how many people read our online casino guide and which country they came from, but not who they are.
Cookies and trackers
We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels or third-party tracking scripts, and the site does not load Google Fonts or embedded ad networks. Because there are no non-essential cookies, you will not see a cookie banner. If we ever add a cookie that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for consent first and update this page.
Links to other sites
We do not link to gambling operators. Our outbound links go to regulators, law texts and help organisations, such as those on our responsible gambling page. When you follow one, you leave balkangambling.com and that site’s own privacy policy applies. We add no referral codes to outbound links, and we do not receive account details, deposits or ID documents from any operator.
Who else processes data
Our hosting and network providers process server data on our behalf under data processing terms. If a provider is outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. We disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under GDPR articles 15 to 22 you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and a portable copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Write to [email protected]; we answer within one month, as article 12 requires. Under article 77 you can also complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
Minors
This site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Our responsible gambling page explains how parents can block gambling sites on family devices.
Changes
We will update this page whenever our processing changes and show the new date at the top. See also about us, our editorial policy and the contact page, or return to the home page.
How we checked this page
On 15 October 2026 we read Umami’s own FAQ on cookies, personal data and the GDPR, and checked articles 6, 12, 15 to 22 and 77 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on EUR-Lex.
Frequently asked questions
Does Balkan Gambling sell or share my data?
No. We do not sell personal data, build advertising profiles or share data with advertisers. Our hosting and network providers process server data on our behalf under data processing terms, and we disclose data to authorities only where the law requires it. Our analytics tool, Umami, collects no personally identifiable information.
Does Balkan Gambling use cookies?
We use no advertising or tracking cookies. Visits are counted with Umami, whose documentation says its tracking code sets no cookies and collects no personally identifiable information. That is why the site shows no cookie banner. If we add a non-essential cookie in future, we will ask for consent first.
Do you share my data with gambling operators?
No. We do not link to gambling operators, add no referral codes to outbound links and have no commercial relationship with any operator we describe. We never receive your account details, deposits or identity documents from an operator, and any data you give an operator is covered by its own privacy policy.
How do I ask for my data to be deleted?
Email [email protected] with your request. We answer within one month, as GDPR article 12 requires. In practice we hold very little: server logs for up to 90 days and any emails you have sent us. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
